Pendant leur séjour à Tokyo, et après la grande dégustation des 2009, les membres de l'UGC se sont unis à Air France pour un dîner de gala et une vente aux enchères de leurs crus afin d'aider les japonais sinistrés du tsunami à reconstruire leurs vies et leurs villes. L'idée d'un tel évènement était celle du célèbre meilleur sommelier du monde 1995 et président de l'Association de la Sommelerie Internationale, Shinya Tasaki, grand amateur de vins de Bordeaux et très apprécié dans notre région.

During their stay in Tokyo, and after the big 2009 tasting, the UGC’s members teamed up with Air France for a gala dinner and a wine auction in order to help Japanese tsunami victims rebuild their cities and lives. The idea for such an event came from the famous 1995 World’s Best Sommelier and Chairman of the Association de la Sommelerie Internationale, Shinya Tasaki, a connoisseur of Bordeaux wines who is highly appreciated in our region.

At the table that Château Brane-Cantenac shared with Château Beychevelle and Château Branaire Ducru in the ballroom of the Okura hotel, two families competed for the top prizes, including a round trip to Bordeaux donated by Air France that was won by a Delta Airlines crew member who had dreamed of visiting the region!

Accompanied by her mother and sister, the winner of the trip celebrated her victory with dignity with the Air France and UGC teams!

On the photo, she’s surrounded from left to right by her mother, Mr. Luc Delaplace, General Manager of Air France Japan, her sister, a friend and Sylvie Cazes, president of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux.

The prize made of Château Brane-Cantenac, Château de Lamarque, Château Léoville-Poyferré and Château La Gaffelière was one of the evening's most expensive!

在东京期间，2009年份品酒会后，波尔多列级酒庄联盟成员集聚于法航参加盛大晚宴和名酒拍卖会，以此帮助日本海啸受难人民重建家园。

这次活动主意来自著名的1995年世界最佳侍酒师、国际侍酒师协会主席Shinya Tasaki。Shinya Tasaki是波尔多葡萄酒的爱好者，他在我们地区深受大家喜爱。

在大仓酒店（hôtel Okura）舞厅，餐桌上有布莱恩和Château Beychevelle、Château Branaire Ducru。两家人在讨论重大奖项，其中有法航提供的波尔多行往返机票。最后，大奖被一名一直向往波尔多的达美航空公司（Delta Airlines）空乘摘得！

在母亲和姐姐的陪同下，旅行获奖者与法国航空公司和波尔多列级酒庄联盟全体人员一同庆祝她的胜利！

Weekend très actif pour Christophe, notre directeur d'exploitation, et Charles, notre chef de culture, qui représentaient Brane au Grand Tasting du Louvre à Paris le weekend du 2 et 3 décembre.  Un grand nombre de visiteurs se sont pressés sur notre stand pour déguster plusieurs millésimes de Brane et de Baron et admirer notre nouveaux coffrets et nos seaux en cuir qui ont tous eu beaucoup de succès. Christophe et Charles ont tous deux étaient impressionnés par le nombre croissant de jeunes amateurs très connaisseurs et intéressés.

It was an extremely busy weekend for Christophe, our managing director, and Charles, our vineyard manager, who represented Brane at the Grand Tasting at the Louvre in Paris on December 2-3. Lots of visitors hurried to our stand to taste several vintages of Brane and Baron and admire our new boxes and leather buckets that both met with great success. Christophe and Charles were both impressed by the growing number of young eager and knowledgeable connoisseurs.

Twelve Brane vintages, ranging from 1970 to today and including 1982 and 2005, were served for tasting during a sumptuous gala dinner.

Two superb events took place a few weeks back.

A magnificent dinner hosted by Romy Sia from “Wine Story” and the gala dinner of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Manila.

Friday November 25^th, Serendra Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City, Philippines

An exceptional evening that was magnificently organized by Romy Sia, renowned importer and owner of the "Wine Story" stores in Manila. He and his team had thought of everything to put Brane in the spotlight! The store was completely decorated in the colours of the property and Christmas, the tasting was impeccable prepared and the dinner was superbly concocted by a famous Philippine chef, Gaeta Fores de Cibo.

The evening was fun and dynamic, and the wines were delicious, of course! There was Baron 2006, Brane 2006, 2004 and 2000 and a Magnum 2000 generously offered by one of Romy Sia's guests.

Saturday November 26^th, Ayala Museum, Manila

A prestigious gala for the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Manila also magnificently organized by Edouard Miailhe, from Château Siran. Two properties were invited: Château Clinet in Pomerol represented by its young owner Ronan Laborde and Château Brane Cantenac. Excellent wines were served, including two prestigious vintages - 2005 and 2000 - with an exquisite dinner whose dishes paired perfectly with the wines.

For the Christmas luncheon, the entire Brane team came together to celebrate Henri Lurton’s 50^th birthday.

The ambiance was festive, warm and full of emotion.

We took advantage of this special occasion to say goodbye to two staff members who we will deeply miss, since they were both greatly valued: Alexandre Lautrec and Mostafa Aniymar. We are sad to say that both are leaving us for health-related reasons. We wish them a speedy recovery.

The luncheon ended with a knowledge quiz focusing on the past 50 years that had been secretly organized by our GO team, made of Charles, Maria and Véronique.
For Christmas, everyone receive a superb black parka in Brane’s colours…

It was a convivial moment that will remain part of our collective memory!
