Evocative names of great award-winning restaurants, majestic hotels (Intercontinental, Mandarin Oriental)…with a view of the Hong Kong bay…it was a worthwhile trip for Henri Lurton and Corinne Conroy, who were both in Asia last week!
In Singapore first for Henri Lurton at the Conrad hotel where Ch'ng Poh Tiong had organized a magnificent dinner for the UGC members passing through his lovely city. Then, to Kowloon in Hong Kong, where he was the head of a dinner at the Mandarin Oriental’s Amber restaurant, organized by Hervé Pennequin, with his sister Bérénice from Château Climens. Then, to Spoon, Alain Ducasse’s restaurant where Watson’s had invited top clients to enjoy foods and wines that were specially paired for the occasion…
For her part, Corinne Conroy had a ‘lunch and tasting’ meeting at Benson Crab and Wine (importer and restaurant owner) in Hong Kong.It was an enjoyable moment, prepared superbly by the owners, Harris and Benson, wine enthusiasts (what great wines they have in their shop!), with magnificent cheeses and a succulent Spanish pata negra.
The same evening, dinner at the ‘HappyValley’ Hippodrome with the importer Dan Tolboll from Hong Kong Wine Pro! View of the racetrack, wild betting and raging ambiance to encourage your favourite horses! All in the presence of the Ambassador of Denmark and his wife…among others.
A dinner at the Casino Arch followed the tasting that was attended by numerous Food and Beverage directors from neighbouring casinos and excellent clients and friends of Mr. and Mrs. U.
Brane-Cantenac would like to thank the merchant Barrière Frères, which coordinated all of these tastings and dinners with utmost professionalism.
