After two weeks of travelling in China and then in Singapore, the conclusion is definitely that China is a crucial up-and-coming market for our Crus Classés (which is not surprising!!) and especially that the market is growing leaps and bounds! Over the past three years, attitudes have drastically changed in relation to our wines and Chinese connoisseurs and buyers have developed much better knowledge of and interest in these wines! Although it is unfortunate that Brane is not yet a strong brand on this market, consumer and importer appreciation of Brane is huge and promising... The Chinese like its style, finesse and elegance! Our Chinese fans poetically described the 2006 as ‘racy, fruity, lacy and evocative.’ What’s more, they just love its gold label and its presentation. Even the Head of Customs in Shanghai insisted on adding a short flattering comment!
