Yesterday evening, Henri Lurton and the entire Brane team had the pleasure of hosting Maison Joanne... To our great surprise, the team that showed up was made of 100% women! Pierre-Antoine Castéja and his brothers clearly did not respect the ‘parity’ that is so important to our policies: in their business…it is women who run the show! This is surprising in the wine industry where you usually see a much larger percentage of men.

After a guided visit by Henri Lurton, under a clear blue sky and splendid evening light, both teams enjoyed a vertical tasting of 2008 to 2002 Brane and 2008 to 2004 Baron…it was a warm moment that gave everyone the opportunity to get to know each other better. It is always nice to be able to put a face to a voice! The delicious dinner, orchestrated, as always, by Monblanc, was served with a Brane 2000, a 1996 and a very young…1983. To finish, a Climens 1996 was served along with an exquisite dessert of macaroons. During this friendly, relaxed evening, Henri was able to communicate his passion for Brane, his wine and most importantly his terroir. The evening’s motto: ‘You cannot do something well unless you love it!’
