Et pour aider au succès de cette vente, Robert Parker lui donne une belle note 90-93...un joli coup de pouce dans un contexte économique très difficile.
And to help boost the sales of this vintage, Robert Parker gave it an admirable 90-93…which will be much appreciated in a very difficult economic context.

Last year in March, at Château de Beaune, head office of Maison Bouchard Père et Fils, Université Paris-Dauphine’s oenology association, Dauvigne, organized its first wine-tasting contest in partnership with Ficofi and a few other famous donors including Château Brane-Cantenac.
A team of finance professionals faced off against students from France’s grandes écoles (Sciences Po, HEC, Normale Supérieure, etc.).This year, the contest will once again take place at Château de Beaune, on June 6.
Some fifty students are expected, as well as young professionals, former students, lawyers, accountants, etc. who are all wine enthusiasts.
Brane-Cantenac is teaming up with this project and would like to wish all the participants ‘Good Luck’ to win, among others, a large bottle of Château Brane-Cantenac 2004.

Loin de la foule des primeurs, nous avons reçu mardi soir Eric Riewer de la 'Revue du Vin de France', Mike Colameco, en séjour à Brane et Ch'ng Poh Tiong, le célèbre journaliste singapourien...
Far from the Primeurs crowd, on Tuesday evening we hosted Eric Riewer from the ‘Revue du Vin de France,’ Mike Colameco, who was staying at Brane, and Ch'ng Poh Tiong, the famous Singaporean journalist.
It was an extremely animated, friendly and casual evening, which took place after a vertical tasting of 5 Brane and Baron vintages to get it started. In addition to sharing short tales of the trade, evoking a few scathing articles, mentioning differences with certain owners and sharing outstanding tasting memories, we were able to enjoy a few vintages ending in 5 with a succulent meal – the 1995, which Henri takes pleasure in drinking right now since it’s at its peak, the 1985, offering surprising freshness and packed with flavor, and a Climens 75 served with licorice and lime mascarpone mousse (invented by Monblanc for an Yquem 28!) ... not to mention of course the wine that’s celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year, the superb and still very very lively 1959!
